Bjørn F. Nilssen started playing bass when he was 15 years old in Bodø municipal music school. He studied at the North Norwegian Music Conservatory 1992-95, the Norwegian Academy of Music 95-96, and the Guildhall school of music and drama 96-98. He started as a tutti bassist in Stavanger symfoniorkester in 2000 where he still works. In addition, he teaches bass and chamber music at the talent program at Stavanger cultural school. Married to Elin Aase, has two boys and a dog.
