Adam Grüchot

Adam Grüchot has been a violin educator and head of the strings at the Department of Classical Music and Music Pedagogy at the University of Agder for a number of years. He is the 1st concertmaster of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, and is regularly invited as conductor and concertmaster also for other Scandinavian orchestras - most recently the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Jönköping Sinfonietta and the Trondheim Soloists. Grüchot holds regular master classes in Norway and abroad - and has for a number of years been associated with "Orkester Norden" as an instructor for strings and violinists. He himself started playing the violin as a 7-year-old in Bydgoszcz. He was educated in Poland where he studied with Prof. Pawel Radzinski and later was strongly inspired by Viktor Pikaizen and Piotr Janowski. As a soloist and chamber musician, Grüchot has visited most European countries, the United States, Asia and South America. He plays on an 1828 G.F. Pressend “Bellarosa” violin - awarded by the Sparebanken Sør Instrument Fund.
