Eileen Siegel grew up in America. She studied music at the Juilliard School and later at The Mozarteum in Salzburg with Sandor Vegh. She did her master degree with Camilla Wicks and at the same time won  first prize at The Society for American Musicans Competition. The prize lead to solo appearances with orchestra , recitals and radio broadcast in the States.  In 1988 she moved to Norway where she won the audition for the third concertmaster position of the Oslo Philharmonic. The same year she received support for a debut concert  and was solist with The Oslo Philharmonic. She has been soloist with the Oslo Philharmonic on many occasions playing Sarasate Carmen Fantasy, Barber Violin Concerto, Mendelsohn concerto, Beethoven Romance and other smaller works. In addition she has been soloist with many of the other professional orchestras in Norway. She has been on the jury for the Eurovision competition for young musicians in Portugal and Belgium. One of her biggest joys is her Young Talent Students that she teaches at The Barrat Due institute, where she has been teaching for thirty years.
