Bjørn F. Nilssen started playing bass when he was 15 in Bodø municipal music school. He studied at the North Norwegian Music Conservatory 1992-95, the Norwegian Academy of Music 95-96, and the Guildhall school of music and drama 96-98. He started as a tutti bassist in SSO in 2000 where he still works. In addition, he teaches young aspiring bassists in Stavanger Cultural School, this since 2015. Married to Elin Aase, has two boys and a dog.
