Villads Littauer Bendixen, born 6 November 2001, has been playing the violin since he was 5 years old. He was born in Denmark and lived in Denmark and Sweden before moving to Berlin at the age of 7.
From 2011-2020 he was a visiting student at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin and studied with Prof. Michael Erxleben and docent Zoya Nevgodovska. In 2020, he started a bachelor's degree at the Barratt Due Institute in Oslo with Alf Richard Kraggerud, and is now studying at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen with Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider.
Villads has played concerts in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Poland, Hungary and the USA, as well as won various prizes, e.g. 1st prize in the "Jugend Musiziert Bundeswettbewerb" in Germany in 2019, Gold medal in the "Berlingske Tidende Klassische Musikkonkurrence" in 2018, 2nd prize in DR's television broadcast "Vidunderbørn" in 2015, and 1st prize in the "Hungarian Games" in Budapest in 2013.Villads plays a François-Louis Pique from 1796, kindly lent by the Lysgaard Foundation.
