Born into a musicians' family in a region which knows how to preserve the rich heritage of wind bands, Pierre Xhonneux has pursued his musical studies at the " IMEP" in Namur, and in Paris in the class of Nicolas Baldeyrou. Open-minded towards a wide musical repertory, he likes participating in a great variety of ensembles and was, in the recent years, invited to perform in prestigious festivals and Concert halls in Europe. Appointed E-flat clarinet-Solo in the Liège Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Belgium) in 2009, he is, since 2015 the new E-flat clarinet in the Oslo Philharmonic (dir. Klaus Mäkelä) and since september 2015 the clarinet teacher at Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt in Oslo.
