Guro Thronæs-Sivertsen (b. 2003) is from Porsgrunn. For many years, she has been a student at Porsgrunn cultural school, including violin and singing in the advanced training programme. After the Music studies at Skien upper secondary school and one year as a student at NMH's talent development program (TUP), in autumn 2022 she started a bachelor's in performing classical singing at the Norwegian Academy of Music with Ann-Helen Moen.
She has participated in master classes with, among others Mona Julsrud, Ann-Helen Moen, Åshild Kyvik Bauge, Marianne Beate Kielland, Silvia Moi, Susanna Eken and Susan Bullock, and attended the Voksenåsen summer academy.
Guro has participated in ensembles and as a soloist in various concerts and performances, including on several occasions at the Norsjø chamber music festival, as a soloist with e.g. Regional choir East, on Rutter's Requiem in 2020, and Carmina Burana and Fauré's Requiem in 2022. In the spring of 2023, she is soprano soloist on Pergolesis' Stabat Mater.
In 2020, during the Midgard competition, she won the award for best performance of the composition competition's winning piece "Vokalise", and in 2021 she won her class.
In the spring of 2023, she recieved the Scholarship "Drømmestipendet".
