Since her debut in Stockholm's Konserthus, Karin Haglund has established herself as one of Sweden's most versatile and sought-after pianists. She has toured Europe, the USA and South America, and in the spring of 2006 she was 'Artist in Residence' at "the Banff Center of the Arts" in Canada.
Since 2008, Karin has collaborated with the Royal Opera in Stockholm, where she has produced and performed performances aimed at children and young people. She is sought after for her romantic interpretations and regularly performs with the Swedish singing elite.
In the spring of 2003, Karin received her chamber music diploma from Edsberg's music institute after studying for five years with Staffan Scheja and Roland Pöntinen as mentors. She also has a bachelor's degree from the same school, and has studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
Karin has since 2001 worked as a piano and chamber music teacher at Lunnevads Folkhögskola.
