The Dutch-Israeli composer Karmit Fadael grew up in a small town in the north of the Netherlands. She was early fascinated by the violin and began developing an interest in composition as a teenager, something she later dedicated herself to.
Now she composes for all kinds of ensembles and receives commissions from the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Residentie Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta/Cello Biënnale, North Netherlands Orchestra, Asko|Schönberg, and many others.
