Ung Filharmoni is a program for young classical musicians up to 19 years old who dreams of becoming professional orchestra musicians. Through annual national auditions an orchestra with 80 young musicians is put together. They gather for an intense period of rehearsals in the summer where they work on an orchestra piece with a well known conductor. In addition to the orchestra rehearsals the participants receives lessons and guidance by musicians from the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the autumn the orchestra meet again for a week in the Oslo Concert Hall where they share the stage with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Through this program the participants get a unique opportunity to develope both personally and musically. Throught the meeting with some of the best performers from the professional scene an inspirational arena is created and gives the young musicians insight in what it takes to reach the top.
Ung Filharmoni aims to contribute to young talents succeeding as performers on tomorrow's muscial scene.
