Piltingsrud Gard

The closing concert at Piltingsrud is entirely devoted to Franz Schubert and his complete song cycle Die Schöne Müllerin.
It is in the lied format that Schubert is the master. Text and music merge into a higher unity, reinforcing and supporting each other. There is room here for the whole spectrum of emotions and yet the music is both beautiful, melodious and surprising.
After all, it's Schubert.
